Philosophy on Pedagogy

Transform is providing parents with the unique opportunity to choose an education system that is built with individual learning as the foundation.

Currently and traditionally the education approach has expected students to fit a standard of whatever age they are. It is becoming clearer that the learning process is unique to the individual and there are other ways to nurture intelligence without expectation and comparison to those of the same age. As it stands, the pressure students are under to succeed is creating anxious learning conditions where students are falling “behind.”

With this is mind, the philosophy behind Transform is to grow their classrooms with the children. This entails exploring different pedagogies and tailoring them to fit the needs of each individual. This will allow for a natural evolution of the teacher-student learning process in an authentic way for both parties. With smaller class sizes, the teachers have more opportunity to spend their time creating quality and unique plans for their students. Moreover, this will also allow for teachers to assess the students’ progress more directly.

Transform believes that learning extends beyond the walls of the classroom and promoting extra-curricular interests is just as valuable for the students. This is why, we are committed to providing students with other levels of interests whether it be within the arts, physical education, yoga etc. The idea is to promote a balanced education and celebrate all subjects as being equally important. The skills they will develop within the community will positively impact the students overall growth. Furthermore, mindfulness and meditation is an essential element of the culture within the school, allowing for freedom of flow to explore education as a daily practice.

The school is unique in that the curriculum flows with the natural evolution of the student with the determination, expectation and dedication to get them living in their ultimate potential which will be inevitably unique to each child.
